Speak Up, Stay Safe: Understanding Anonymous Safety Reporting in Our State Online
Safe 2 Tell is a statewide program that allows students and community members to report safety concerns anonymously. A deep dive into how the anonymous reporting system works, why it was established, and how youth can utilize this program to self-report, or make a report on a peer, if they feel unsafe or have concerns.
This 35-45 minute presentation will cover how this statewide program provides a secure and anonymous way for students, educators, and community members to report safety concerns. Whether it’s bullying, threats of violence, struggles with emotional well-being, or any situation that makes someone feel unsafe, reports can be made without fear of retaliation. The system is designed to connect at-risk individuals with support while helping prevent crises before they happen. Anyone can use it to self-report or to speak up on behalf of someone, knowing that trained professionals will respond quickly, confidentially, and with care. There will be time for questions at the end.
