Adaptive Storytime In-Person
Adaptive Storytime is a space to foster the early literacy skills of children with neurodiversity and children who prefer an alternative to traditional storytimes. This smaller group event is designed to be welcoming for different abilties and needs. Adaptive Storytime incorporates movement, music, stories, sensory options, and play. Activities presented generally fall within a preschool interest level, but older children are welcome. Siblings are welcome to attend. One registration per family.

Please note: This monthly storytime occurs before the library opens. Instructions for entering the building will be provided. Families are welcome to leave before the library opens to avoid crowds or stay longer and continue to use the library.
Some items for neurodivergent children to feel comfortable and confident in storytime will be provided. For example-noise cancelling headphones, fidgets, wiggle stools, and a privacy tent.
