Tales 2 Tales

Tales 2 Tales In-Person

Independent readers can come practice reading aloud with a furry pal. Friendly, well-trained therapy dogs from Caring Canines will give elementary aged readers an opportunity to improve their literacy skills by sharing stories aloud. The non-judgmental presence of the dogs and their silent appreciation for the written word paves the way for reading success and provides a healthy boost of confidence. Bring your own book or use a library book!

This program is intended for elementary aged children who can practice reading independently. It takes place on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month.

Time to read with the dogs is assigned on a first come basis, starting 5 minutes before the event start time. Each reader will have a limited amount of time with a dog. The number of dogs available is not guaranteed, so time slots may be limited.
