This June, as summer comes around the corner, we rely on cardamom to sweeten our recipes to enjoy the longer days of our sunniest season. 

About the Program

The Spice of the Month Take and Make is your passport to global flavors.

Each monthly kit includes:

  • A small packet of the featured spice blend (enough for two recipes).
  • Easy recipe cards to try at home.
  • A brief history and cultural context of the spice.
  • Suggested books for further exploration.

Registration is preferred. Kits will be available while supplies last, registration secures a kit for you. 

June's Recipes

      • Cardamom-Spiced Rice Pudding: Cook rice with milk, sugar, and ground cardamom, then garnish with chopped pistachios.
      • Swedish Cardamom Buns: Knead ground cardamom into a sweet dough, shape it into buns, and bake until golden.
