Spice of the Month Take & Make: Mulling Spices In-Person
This December, embrace the cozy warmth of the season with Mulling Spices – the perfect blend for creating aromatic beverages and festive treats. Traditionally used to flavor hot cider or wine, this spice mix includes cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and orange peel, infusing your home with the comforting scent of the holidays.
About the Program
The Spice of the Month is a year-long journey through global flavors, where each month features a different spice, blend, or herb. Library patrons can sign up to receive a free “take-and-make” kit, including:
- A small packet of the featured spice (enough for one recipe/2 servings).
- One muslin cotton bag.
- Simple recipe cards to inspire your cooking.
- A brief history and cultural context of the spice.
- Recommended books for further exploration.
Registration is preferred. Kits will be available while supplies last, registration secures a kit for you.
