Japanese 4-hole Book Binding

Japanese 4-hole Book Binding In-Person

Discover how to create stunning hand-bound books using the Japanese 4-hole binding technique. Books using this method feature an exposed spine and decorative stitching that binds single sheets of paper between a front and back cover.

This class is perfect for beginner bookbinders. We will begin with the fundamentals of punching holes through the cover and interior pages, along with mastering the classic 4-hole stitch. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore variations that include extra punches and more intricate stitching designs.

At the end of the class, you will walk away with two handmade books, ideal for sketching, journaling, or serving as a general notepad.
