Freedom To Read: a School-Age Storytime Adventure In-Person
Join us for a special storytime celebrating the freedom to read and the power of diverse voices! We’ll share stories from picture books that have been banned or challenged - stories that spark curiosity, encourage empathy, and reflect the wide range of human experience. We’ll wrap up with the opportunity to create a card and write a note to an author whose work has been challenged or who has inspired you.
This event is a safe and welcoming space for readers to explore books that have faced censorship and to talk about why these stories matter. Discussion will be intended for readers 6 and up.
