 beans to enhance digestion and deepen taste. August’s kit offers a 
 flavorful dive into Latin American cuisine\, paired with powerful books 
 that explore identity\, history\, and food as cultural 
 connections.\n\nAbout the Program\n\nThe Spice of the Month is a year-long 
 journey through global flavors\, featuring a different spice\, blend\, or 
 herb each month. Library patrons can sign up to receive a free 
 “take-and-make” kit\, including:\n\n\n	A small packet of the featured 
 spice (enough for two recipes).\n	Simple recipe cards to inspire your 
 cooking.\n	A brief history and cultural context of the spice.\n	Recommended 
 books for further exploration.\n\n\nRegistration is preferred. Kits will be 
 available while supplies last. Registration secures a kit for you for pick
