Climate Conversations: Book Discussion of Water in Plain Sight: Hope for a Thirsty World In-Person

Imagine a world where water scarcity doesn’t define the future. In Water in Plain Sight, journalist Judith D. Schwartz takes readers on a compelling global journey to uncover how working with nature—not against it—can help restore water cycles, revive landscapes, and offer real solutions to today’s water challenges. From restorative grazing in Zimbabwe to urban water harvesting in Arizona and dew collection in West Texas, this hopeful, beautifully told book shows how soil, plants, animals, and thoughtful land stewardship can increase water availability and resilience. Inspiring, well-researched, and rooted in real stories, it offers practical insight and optimism for anyone interested in the future of water, climate, and sustainable living.

Climate Conversations at the LINC Library Innovation Center is hosted by the Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL) Greeley chapter. CCL is a non-partisan organization that promotes solutions to the current climate crises. The goal is to provide information on various topics surrounding climate issues, to show many sides of the discussion and to get citizens thinking about solutions and obtain a better understanding of the situation. Free and open to the public. Registration is preferred.
